About these terms
These terms apply when you book tyre fitting, repair or related work with TyrePilots. When you book with us, your contract is with TyrePilots, even though the work is carried out by one of the independent fitters we work with. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Quotes and booking
We give you a price for the job based on the information you provide. A booking is confirmed when we have agreed the price, the work and an arrival window with you. If the information turns out to be different, for example the vehicle has a different tyre size, we will explain what has changed and agree any new price with you before starting. You can decline and we will not carry out the work.
Arrival times
We give arrival windows in good faith. Traffic and earlier jobs can cause delays. If your fitter is running late, we will let you know as soon as we can.
At the vehicle
Please make sure the fitter can reach the vehicle safely, on firm and level ground, and that the locking wheel nut key is available if the vehicle has one. Our fitters will not work on a motorway hard shoulder, a live carriageway or anywhere they judge to be unsafe. If a fitter can’t safely carry out the work when they arrive, we will discuss the options with you.
Puncture repairs
Repairs are carried out in line with BS AU 159. Whether a tyre can be repaired can only be confirmed after it has been inspected. If it can’t be repaired safely, we will not repair it and will offer you a replacement instead.
Payment
We will confirm how and when to pay when we confirm your booking. Business customers with an account are invoiced on the terms agreed with them.
Changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel, contact us as early as possible. You can cancel free of charge before a fitter has been sent to you. If you cancel after a fitter is on their way, or the vehicle can’t be accessed when they arrive, we may charge a call-out fee, which we will tell you about when you book.
Our responsibility to you
We will carry out the work with reasonable care and skill, as the law requires. If there is a problem with the work, contact us promptly and we will put it right. New tyres are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty against defects. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults with the vehicle or wheels that we did not cause, but we will tell you about anything we notice that affects safety.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything, please contact us at our email address. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it as quickly as we can.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
